The Golden Child Project- April 14 to 16, 2006

The children of PP Thomas Wong, PP Joe Lu, IPP Lawrence Chan, VP Tony Yue and Rtn. Edward Chow sat together to have dinner in A'Famosa.	Anne Carol, wife of PP Joseph Lu, was seen distributing a gift to a "Golden Child".
The Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya hosted a welcoming dinner at A'Famosa. PP Thomas Wong, PP Joseph Lu, IPP Lawrence Chan, VP Tony Yue and Rtn. Edward Chow proposed a toast to members of the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya, including PP Albert Yong President Harjit Singh.	Anne Mimi, spouse of IPP Lawrence Chan, helped a golden child to draw a picture.
Our Club members together with their spouses and children had a half-day trip to the historical town of Melaka. The picture was taken in front of the Stathuys State Home, built by the Dutch in the 17th Century.	PP Thomas Wong and his daughter Stephanie were pictured together with IPP Lawrence Chan, VP Tony Yue and Rtn. Edward Chow.

Edward Chow, our Club's International Service Director gave a thank you speech to the Organizing Committee and participants of the Golden Child Project.

Rtn. Edward Chow, our Club's International Service Director, President Harjit Singh and PDG David Ho of the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya and President Lawrence Tan of Rotary Club of Tampin together with Doctor Lim and nurses who took care of the terminally-ill children during their two-day stay at A'Famosa.	PP Thomas Wong presented a cash donation of US$1,000 to the Rotary Club of Petaling Jaya to be used for the Club's Community Service projects and the donation was accepted by President Harjit Singh of RC of Petaling Jaya.

The nurses who took care of the terminally-ill children and the sick children sang a song at the Farewell Dinner.	The organizers of the Golden Child Project together with their spouses and children had a group photo taken before they left A'Famosa.
